Level 1–3 Sound Healing Certification in the Redwoods

Eight days immersed in sound, practice, and presence in the redwoods of Northern California.

Held at Spirit Camp, this residential retreat brings together Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Sound Healing Training within a single, cohesive container. Designed for those who have already begun their sound healing path, this experience supports deepening through sustained study, hands-on practice, and direct experience—both as practitioner and receiver.

The retreat begins on 8/8, the Lion’s Gate, a time traditionally associated with alignment, intention, and activation.

Upon completion, participants receive Level 1–3 Sound Healing Certification.

Prerequisite

To attend, one of the following is required:

• Level 1 Sound Healing Training

• Level 1 & Level 2 Sound Healing Trainings

• Sound Healing Foundations Virtual Course

For those traveling from out of state or internationally, the Sound Healing Foundations Virtual Course may be completed in advance to meet the prerequisite.

What This Training Includes

This retreat is both training and receiving.

Participants engage in learning technique, musical relationship, facilitation, and sequencing, while also refining their own instrument through listening, embodiment, and integration. Playing, receiving, and rest are intentionally woven throughout the week to support sustainable practice and personal clarity.

The retreat includes one cacao ceremony, offering a dedicated moment for connection, reflection, and shared intention within the group.

Instruments & Practices

Throughout the week, participants work with the full range of instruments and practices used at the Sound Healing Studio, including:

• Crystal singing bowls

• Gongs

• Chimes

• Flutes

• Drums

• Voice

• And more

Facilitation & Sequencing

Participants develop a practical understanding of how sound sessions are structured and guided, including:

• Pacing and transitions

• Layering instruments with intention

• Building and resolving sound fields

• Responding to group dynamics in real time

Hands-on practice supports confidence both in group settings and individual facilitation.

Levels Covered

Level 1
Listening skills, body awareness, posture, stability, and foundational playing techniques.

Level 2
Musical relationship and ensemble work, including rhythm, spacing, intervals, coordination, and group play across instruments.

Level 3
Facilitation, sequencing, pacing, holding space, and integrating sound, silence, and environment.

Daily Rhythm

• Morning movement, yoga, and meditation

• Daily sound training and hands-on practice

• Group playing and listening sessions

Optional Add-On

Medicine Drum Making Workshop

Participants may choose to join an optional medicine drum making workshop led by Matt Canale and Hillary Canale.

This immersive experience guides participants in creating a personal 16″ elk hide drum, including painting the frame, tying the drum by hand, and crafting a mallet.

Training begins at $3,300

Accommodation options include private cabins, shared lodging, glamping, bunkhouse spaces, and personal camping or camper vans. Pricing ranges from $3,300–$4,700, depending on accommodation selection.

• Full refunds available up to 8 weeks prior to retreat start date

• Funds may be transferred to another training or offering up to 6 weeks prior

• Within 6 weeks of the retreat start date, all payments are non-refundable
